Beautiful Things

Have you all missed me terribly? I just know you have been checking up on me every day, hoping to find something new, something creative only to be sadly disappointed.

Well, I'm here to ease your suffering and catch you up on a few beautiful things.


First, my boys and I had a wonderful Spring Break at my parents' house. While we were gone for two weeks, a beautiful thing happened: my floors got finished! I now have new plush carpet in my bedroom (Loquacious said it was like walking on Jell-O) and tile in the bathroom. Everything looks so clean I don't want to let anyone walk on it!


Just before we left to come home, arrived...at least according to the calendar. This is what my parents' backyard looked like when we woke up that morning:



It may not look beautiful to those of you that get lots of this white stuff every year, but to a bunch of boys from Arizona it is.


Earlier this month, I participated in a scenic card swap in my CopicCrafters yahoo group. I had never done a scene image before so I was a little apprehensive about it, but thought it would be good practice for my coloring skills, such as they are.

This stamp set from CTMH was a perfect choice and the card went together pretty quickly. Becky, my swap partner loved the card so I suppose it was a beautiful thing...which also happens to be the name of the stamp set. See how clever I am?

So while my "remodeling" is done, I am still faced with an insanely messed up house until we get all the furniture back the way it was. I'll have to make time and space to get creative again (sorry Engineer, that's just the way it will have to be) because I have one last beautiful thing to share. I've been chosen to join the first CTMH challenge Design Team!
