H2H Challenge: Color My World

Welcome to another H2H Challenge! This week we have another color challenge for you to create with.

When I first saw the color swatches Mary chose, I couldn't help but think of that song by the Foundations Build Me Up Buttercup. And if you get it stuck in your head for the rest of the day...I'm sorry.
Smiley from millan.net

So, on with the challenge. This week, create anything you like with these three CTMH colors:

I don't know if it was because that song put me in a good mood, but this card went together pretty quickly.

Stamps: CTMH Priceless Love Word Puzzle
Inks: CTMH Black, Tulip, Buttercup
Papers: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Tulip, Buttercup

Be sure to check out the other DT member's creations, they're fantastic!

H2H Challenge: Scrappy Father's Day

Next Sunday is the day we all celebrate our #1 guy...DAD!
Smiley from millan.net

And in honor of that great and glorious day, when dads get breakfast lovingly prepared by eager little handsSmiley from millan.net and another round of beautiful tiesSmiley from millan.net to unwrap, those of us at Heart 2 Heart bring you this week's challenge:

Using your scraps and/or recycled items, create a card or project for Dad.

The hardest part of creating anything for Engineer is coming up with something he would truely love from the boys. All of his hobbies seem to center around electronicSmiley from millan.netthingamajigs. I wouldn't have a clue what to surprise him with...except an outrageous bill from some gadget store.

So this year we went the homemade gift route and made him a tin of Daddy Coupons.

Stamps: CTMH Headline Alpabet Large
Inks: CTMH Desert Sand
Papers: CTMH It's A Guy Thing Reflections Kit

I had several of these hinged tins left over from past workshops that were perfect for this project. I stamped the DADDY with the Headline alphabet stamps onto some scrap chipboard sheets then cut them out. I covered them with paper from the It's A Guy Thing pack. I also made my own coordinating buttons by gluing Clear Craft Buttons to some more scraps from the paper pack and finishing them off with some Natural Hemp.

I cut a couple of quotes from a sheet in the paper pack to decorate the inside lid...

then we printed off some coupons using the Hippo font from the Expressives Vol. II.

The boys each filled out two coupons for their dad and signed them. I think we'll finish off the tin with a bag of Engineers favorite candy.

Stop by the other DT members blogs to see all the wonderful projects they've created for their special guys!

H2H Challenge: Scrapbook Layouts

Good Morning and welcome to another week of H2H Challenge! This week should be an easy one: create a scrapbook layout! This can be any size and must include photos. Or if by some strange reason you don't scrapbook Smiley from millan.net, make a card that features a photo on it.Smiley from millan.net

These pictures of the boys were taken a couple of years ago when we visited Engineer's mom for 4th of July weekend. There is a huge park near her house the boys loved to play in. I took lots of pictures...enough to fill three different layouts!
Smiley from millan.net

So this is one I finished up this week for this challenge:

Stamps: CTMH Boys At Play, Headline Alphabet Large
Inks: CTMH Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, Sorbet
Papers: CTMH Caboodle Reflections Kit

I love this Caboodle paper pack and have almost used up the entire thing. The colors in the pictures were just perfect for it and I'm glad I had enough to get one more layout out of it. Time to order some more I guess! Smiley from millan.net

I used just about every stamp in the Boys At Play stamp set! I was so happy when this came out this Spring, every one of them describe my boys at some time during the day. I accented a photo and matte using our Tiny Tabs.

Now head over to the H2H Challenge blog and see all the other wonderful layouts the DT members created!

You're The Beary Best

I liked Mary's sketch for this week's H2H Challenge so much I had to use it again!

This card was made to mail to another Copic Crafters member so in order to not pay an arm and a leg at the post office, I kept the embellishments to a bare minimum.

Get it?

Bear?
Smiley from millan.net

Ahh, well maybe it's too early for silly humor.

Stamps: CTMH Beary Best
Inks: CTMH Outdoor Denim, New England Ivy, Barn Red, Memento Tuxedo Black
Papers: CTMH Back Country Reflections Kit

Hope you all enjoy your weekend! We're off to the Farmer's Market soon to browse all the veggie goodness.

Just Taking A Break

Afternoon everyone!Smiley from millan.net Just popping in to say hi on this very hot afternoon. We reached 100° sometime today...when does winter start again?

When it's this hot outside I like to close all the curtains, turn down the air and sit at my table and craft. Oh, who am I kidding...it doesn't have to be hot outside for me to want to craft.

Today I'm sharing a card I sent to one of the Copic Crafters members last month. With all the end of school bedlam I forgot to share it with all of you. This Silly Sally stamp is one I've had for a long time, back when CTMH was D.O.T.S., just something about her makes her fun to color.

Stamps: CTMH Silly Sally (long time retired), Bowl Of Cherries
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, CTMH Chocolate
Papers: CTMH Cherry-O Reflections Kit

Sorry this is short, but I'm working on more of the upcoming H2H Challenges for this month. Stop by and see who this week's Friday Five are and don't forget to enter the current challenge!

Okay, back to work!Smiley from millan.net
