Do you remember when I was on the first Design Team for the Heart2Heart Challenges Blog? (It seems like so long ago.)
Well I've been asked back to be a part of the All Star Alumnae Design Team!
I was very flattered they thought of me and was so happy to accept! So let's get started right away with this week's challenge...Snow Much Fun!
This week we want to see all your creations using snow as a theme. Card, layout, home decor...anything that comes to mind when you think of that glittering white stuff!
Well...living in Tucson doesn't give me a lot of chances to actually have snow much fun of any kind! But I did find some photos of a day trip we took up the mountain one year specifically to play in the snow.
Take a look...
Inks: White Daisy
Papers: Black cardstock, Slate cardstock, Whisper cardstock, White Daisy cardstock
Tools: Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, Spray Pen, Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1 (Pattern 4)
Accessories: Silver Shimmer Trim, Create-a-Shade Pearl Paint
I started out by cutting some snowflakes to use as masks. I used the
But it does give the layout such a nice shimmer! I did go around the edges of the masks with some White Daisy ink, just to make them stand out a bit more.
For the squares of Whisper cardstock, I again used the White Daisy to ink the edges, putting more on the bottom and right sides. I wanted to give the impression of a frosty winter window.
I cut four layers of the title at 1.5" and stacked them all together to make my own chipboard letters!
Here is a close up:
Look at how much that Shimmer Trim sparkles!
If you'd like to join in the fun this week...and really, why wouldn't you?...then get crafting and share your creation over at H2H. If you need some more inspiration, head over there and check out the other team members projects.
After all this wintery fun, I think I'll go make myself some hot cocoa! Stay Warm my Friends!

ReplyDeleteLove how you used the negative of the Snowflake cut outs. This layout came together wonderfully and the Silver shimmer trim really made the blocks pop.
