The Smell of Freedom

Welcome to another blog hop with the Stampers with an Attitude team.  This month we're sharing our Patriotic Art with an Attitude!

Well, let me show you my project.  I told the boys my idea for it and they all gave me blank stares. From Millan.Net

I don't think they quite understood my vision.  But when I was finished, they all thought it was cool!  How about you?

Inks: Saddle reinker
Paper: Pacifica, Colonial White, Cranberry cardstock
Tools: Artiste Cricut cartridge, quilling tool, spray pen, glue dots...lots and lots of glue dots

The frame holds a 5x7 photo to give you an idea of the size.  All the flowers were cut with the Accent 2 flower on page 54 of the handbook.  I cut plenty of them at 2.5" and 2".  After rolling them up, I sprayed them with a Saddle reinker/water mix to give it an antiqued look.

So this has been dubbed The Smell of Freedom in our house and now sits in our entry way.  I have to admit, I don't have a lot of patriotic home décor so I'm excited to now have something to put out every year.

Thanks for stopping by!  Next on your travels is Cat's Blog...Enjoy! From Millan.Net

  5. You're amazing! What a great idea! I'm definitely making my own for my home. How did you save your fingers from hot glue puddles? Did you use Liquid Glass, instead?
