Studio J Independence Picture My Life and Layout

 

 

We were up really early today so the boys could go out and put up flags while it was still cool enough outside.  Although, when it's already 80° at 5:30 in the morning...I don't hold out too much hope that the rest of the day will be any cooler.
 

To help celebrate today, I'm sharing more Studio J work.  Up first is a set of Picture My Life cards done with the Independence paper pack.  I didn't get enough of it while it was out in paper form, so now I can use it up with studio scrapping!
 

This is a layout I did years ago when we first moved into our new house...3 years ago yesterday, in fact!  The boys had never played with sparklers before so we thought it was time to introduce them.  At one point I told them to just squiggle the sparklers in the air...and it looks like they actually spelled out the word "BOYS"!

Disney Character Picture My Life with Studio J

I'm still riding that magical Disney high, so I wanted to share some Picture My Life cards I created last month using Studio J.  These are, obviously, minimalistic of some famous Disney characters, but I love the way the turned out!

Cruisin' Into Summer

Last day of school! Since we have year round school here, our summer break is relatively short.  So we have to cram as much fun and relaxation in six weeks as we can!

To get started with all our summer driving around, I made more PML cards.  This time I used one of my favorite paper packs, Cruisin'.  It has so many fun My Stickease to use!

Keeping in the same thread of "scrapping out of season", I thought I'd share some more holiday Studio J/PML sets.

Halloween Studio J and Picture My Life cards

I know it's the middle of May and nowhere near Halloween, but I've been working on my Studio J layouts with coordinating Picture My Life cards. These are photos from last year's Trunk or Treat. The boys actually did costumes this year and pretty much made them all by themselves. So proud.




The Mischief paper pack was perfect for these sepia toned photos and I loved making the little scene so much...I created some PML cards to go with it. The My Stickease are really fun to play with in this set!

Zippidee Picture My Life

I'm working on a Mother's Day card today while I have a quiet house.  So while I do that, I'll share another Picture My Life sets I created in Studio J.

Our National Convention is being held at Disneyland again this year...in just 49 days and 22 hours.  Yes, I'm counting!  I went ahead and made these knowing those convention days go by fast...and if I wanted to jot anything memorable, I was going to want something cute to save them on.

Good Morning and Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Half of my boys are at an day-long scout activity...so that means I get to play in my Craft Closet as long as I want!  Wait...I still have the other half of the boys here at home with me.  Okay, I get to play... until someone gets hungry!  I'll take it.

So, a whole day dedicated to the joys of scrapbooking.  Perfect!  While I'm working on getting a few more photos out of the computer and into albums, I'd like to share something grand you can do with Studio J.

Pocket scrapbooking has been around for some time with lines like Project Life, etc.  With the new Picture My Life line from CTMH, you can now scrap those photos and memories even faster!
But what if you want a theme that isn't found in our 8 PML sets? 
Simple.  Turn to Studio J!

So just how do you do this?  When you are in Studio J and choosing your pattern, use the No Limits selection.  This gives you two nice, empty 12x12 photo wells.  Use the Text Wells to create your card sizes...the decorate away!  Use the paper, embellishments, and My Stickease to custom create your own PML pages!  When you receive your prints from CTMH, all you need to do is cut them out, add your photos and journaling and you're done.  Use the Corner Rounder if you'd like to keep that same PML look.
